Communications

The PCY PTA uses several methods to communicate with the PCY community.

If you want to be in the loop for all things PCY PTA, check out the following:

Cougar Tracks - This weekly email newsletter is sent out on Sundays. It contains all of the upcoming events, important information and updates from the PCY PTA President. This is our MOST important method of communication. It is automatically distributed to all registered PCY PTA members.
PCY PTA website - www.pcypta.com showcases all PTA information, PTA sponsored and affiliated programs, the Cougar Cart and helpful shortcuts to general PCY school information.
PCY STEAM Facebook Group (http://www.facebook.com/groups/PCYSTEAM/) - This CLOSED Group aims to keep PCY parents informed on the latest information related to the PTA's STEAM program. It is not meant to be used as a discussion board. All posts and comments are monitored by the PCY PTA President, the VP of Communications & Publicity, and/or the PCY STEAM Chair.
Room Representative emails - Room reps will distribute class-specific information throughout the year. Your designated room reps will contact you in the beginning of the academic year to establish how they will communicate with families.
Flyers - Information is occasionally distributed to families by the PTA via students weekly folders (i.e. Charleston Wrap fundraiser materials, etc.).
Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/pcypta/) - In addition to another way to receive upcoming events important information, you will find pictures from events, opportunities for giveaways, and polls to participate in. Please tag us in any PCY PTA events you post so we can share!
Bulletin boards - There are bulletin boards inside the front office and two glass-enclosed boards outside campus.
Outdoor banners - We use banners to promote events and to serve as reminders. You will see these near the front-office steps, on brick walls, and at the Gould Gate.

Do you have information you would like to share with the PCY Community?

The PCY PTA sends out Cougar Tracks every Sunday evening with school news, PTA events, enrichment programs, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and community highlights.

How to Submit: Email your flyer or announcement to communications@pcypta.com by Wednesday at 5PM.

- Files must be in .jpg or .png format
- Include exact wording and any links
- QR codes are discouraged (only functional for ~15% of readers)
- Flyers will run on Cougar Tracks for 2 consecutive weeks
- Approved submissions may also appear on PTA social media or PCYPTA.com
