PCY STEAM Night

PCY STEAM night is a special event filled with activities and demos to help get kids excited about all things STEAM! Sponsored by the PTA and organized by parent volunteers, STEAM night is currently hosted once in the fall and again in the spring. The first STEAM night is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, from 6-8pm. Hope you can make it!

Some highlights from the 2024-2025 STEAM nights:

  • "NASA Robots Today and Tomorrow" - presentation by special guest Vandi Verma, JPL Principal Engineer
  • Telescopes made available by Carnegie Observatories - kids were able to view Jupiter and other celestial objects right from PCY!
  • Open Source Rover project - build your own rover using store-bought materials
  • Demos from Caltech and La Canada Engineering Club
  • Science experiments and activities run by LCHS student volunteers
